# Required Traits
This feature allows you to set requirements to specific traits
''In order to apply a specific trait, existing NFT must already have one or more traits on chain.''
Front end will hide the trait if not compatible. It will not be allowed to be applied to the NFT, until the NFT has the required trait.
**Usecase**
Levelling system, force users to level up in sequence, ex. Trait store offers levels, blank images that simply update text in the metdata.
You can essentialy force users to level up in sequence.
